Re: Heading North
I would like to ask a 100% selfish favour. Are there any Swedish members
on the list who could give me tips on finding a job? I would like to
live in Lund, right down in the south, but I could then happily work in
either Lund or Malmö.
not swedish, but i telecommute to sweden - does that count?
i would assume that kursverksamheten's courses in swedish for immigrants are still available in lund. that's where i learned my swedish - intensive course, 5 days a week, 5 hours a day. total immersion, offered at five levels.
On a more general note, does anyone have any experience of working
through English in a non-anglophonic country to share?
i didn't start working in sweden until my language skills were up to it - but you'll find that swedes have good skills in english.
there are several companies in sweden that have english as their "corporate language" - it is not impossible that you could find employment through that route.
