Mark Maloney writes that he is planning to move to Lund, in Sweden.

Mark, commuting from Lund to Copenhagen is now a definite possibility, with
very frequent train service across the Sound from Malmo to Copenhagen. So
you should not restrict your search to Sweden only. For convenience, if you
work in Copenhagen, it might be easier to live in Malmo and have your
partner commute to Lund, which should be easy.

very true - i was just there and it's remarkable to sit on a train for about half an hour, from one country to the next,-)

As for writing in English, I believe that most technical writing in Denmark
is in English, and I assume the same is true of Sweden. I would be happy to
correspond off-line about what it is like.

i'm not so sure that i would say "most" technical writing in sweden is in english, or we translators would not be so overburdened with work. there has been some slowdown among translators into swedish, but not working out of the language - and most of what we do *is* technical writing.

I, too, would be interested in hearing from any list members in southern
Sweden because I think it would be good to build up a stronger professional
community in this region.

heh - i'm a former "skåning" but now a telecommuter. it works,-)
