Pixie dust. It had pixie dust.

I left my first contracting job for perm position at a $300 a month cut.
But I got to work for Walt Disney Imagineering, 15 minutes from home.

Of course, I was laid off again 2 years later, but that's another story.

I've never taken a salary cut, although I took my current job for a 0%
increase/decrease. I would prefer not to do that again, though admit I might
consider a salary cut based on the particular employer . . .
but I have a hard time imagining what the job would have to be to make me
want to take the cut.
