But if you want to succeed in TechnicalI'm always forthright about asking stupid questions. When I explain what I do to someone else, I like to say, "I ask the developers dumb questions so that no one else has to." And sometimes, when I'm asking for clarifications from the developers, I start by saying, "OK. Dumb question time."
Writer--or any kind of writing for that matter--you better display an
inquisitive mind and a willingness to ask stupid questions, sometimes stupidly
phrased.
A bit defensive, maybe, but I find the approach effective.
