I have received many off-list requests to understand
what tech writers charge offshore. Within the last two
days of my posting, I have received over fifty
responses. The average hourly rate from India on the
low side is around $4 per hour. I received one that
was a lot higher and wanted $8 an hour.
I have also received fixed costs offerings for a 40
page whitepaper ranging from $150 to $200.
