The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
As has been suggested in previous posts, you don't have to pay to see your
credit information, and getting a little knowledge on how to read it can
save you a lot of money.
>From what I understand, everyone is entitled to at least one free copy of
their credit report a year (here in Georgia, you can request two). Also, if
you've been denied credit, you can request a free copy, as well.
My credit is still recovering from over a year of unemployment, and I
finally got the nerve up to look at my report. Only one account shows
serious history, but the rest were surprisingly good. I feel better about my
credit history, but am being careful to repair it, although it will be 2009
before some of it drops off.
