You should ask your management about this, but this is
generally frowned upon. Until the deal is signed, you
should proceed with business as usual until the deal
is done.

Senior management will most likely not assume that.

It's not your call. You need instruction from
management, with feedback from the "suits" in your
company. What may seem harmless to you could be
catastrophic to upper management, who may have plans
you are unaware of.
