I was a technical services librarian. That's someone who works behind the scenes in the Cataloging Department. The problem was that I pretty much got into it by default, and then discovered I didn't like it very much. At the same time, I found I liked to write. So, I went back to grad school and got a degree in Technical and Science Communication, and here I am.

Okay, the last post in my series of probing questions... I'm writing an article about technical communication and wanted to toss this question out for a few responses.

If you had another career before you became a technical communicator, what was it and why did you decide to pursue technical communication?

Thanks in advance for you help.
