Thanks to all who replied - problem solved and I didn't even have to do a
thing to Mailwasher. I tried the suggestions on Edesk first (allows multiple
desktops to be displayed) and once I got it back Mailwasher worked fine. I
can only assume that it was appearing on one of the other desktops but as
they weren't being displayed (at least where I could see them!) by Edesk...
