I have searched every combination I could in the archives and did not get an answer so I will put this forth to you. I thought the old way of writing that we were taught in school, to always do two spaces after a period, had gone away in favor of one space. Now, I see in the "Style Guide" at my work, it says to "always place two spaces after a period." I am now confused (which is not hard to do). Which is it? Two spaces or one? Does it really matter?

Also, for some reason, my posts seem to not show up until the next day so I don't expect response today. Any concrete answer would help.
