Your input is welcome on two issues, with RoboHelp and Word. For all of our documentation, we need a simple, elegant design solution to help provide many documents for a complex product, under tight deadlines, with too few writers. :->
1. The first issue is about simplifying the design of Help, and as a result, the printed document it produces. I'm thinking in terms of standalone modules (where a module would be a TOC H1) without references or links to other modules, except for toc and index. It would be better if I don't provide examples, so we can instead talk about someone else's workable experiences.
2. The second issue is about RoboHelp versions. We're running Classic on Word on Windows 2000. We purchased 3X some time ago and would like to use it - however, it would be good to have your recommendations. Our needs are simple - WebHelp and printed manuals. No XML, flash, image mapping, PDF output. Single writer.
Thanks very much,
Linda Cast
