1. The first issue is about simplifying the design of Help, and as a result,
the printed document it produces. I'm thinking in terms of standalone
modules (where a module would be a TOC H1) without references or links to
other modules, except for toc and index. It would be better if I don't
provide examples, so we can instead talk about someone else's workable
experiences.

Sounds like a standard RH project using conditional tags to generate
multiple outputs.


2. The second issue is about RoboHelp versions. We're running Classic on
Word on Windows 2000. We purchased 3X some time ago and would like to use
it - however, it would be good to have your recommendations. Our needs are
simple - WebHelp and printed manuals. No XML, flash, image mapping, PDF
output. Single writer.

If you can avoid the X versions, so much the better.
