Hi folks,
This is related to tech writing (in my world at least) because I use email
to transfer text from word on the PC to my Mac. Developers and engineers
give me a word .doc, so I extract the text and email it to the Mac for
implementation into a manual or whatever. It's not very often I have to do
this though. But something's bugging me.

I don't worry about viruses too much on the Mac, anyway, on the PC, I
increased the security settings after the last virus scare, but then found
out I wasn't able to log into Yahoo email. After the settings change, Yahoo
said it needed cookies enabled. So I put the settings back to default.
Still, though I am not able to log into Yahoo email using the PC. I don't
understand it. And I also specifically added Yahoo to the list for ignoring
security settings (win2k).

So instead of Yahoo, I use hotmail now to send text to my Mac with no
problem. But it bugs me that yahoo won't work on the pc in my office now.
And I do like to know why things work or don't work.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Dan--Ft. Lauderdale
