I had to try it to find out. I'm so used to hitting the space bar with my right thumb, that my typing stops by probably 95% if I try to force myself to do it with my left. I literally have to stop and force my left thumb to move at the end of every word. I learned to use my right thumb in typing class in 9th grade (circa 1980), and I can't seem to overcome that training.
