Hmmm... the AR wasn't buying the busy thing, and since I already had an appt. setup for Monday, it seems silly that she wanted to bump me for tomorrow. However, in niceness-land, brining up something personal is a way to build quicker intimacy with the client, accont rep., recruiter, whomever. If I were in Chicago, Boston, NYC, San. Fran, etc., I'd never bring up my car---but reasons, numerous ones, are demanded in Minnesota, by all and sundry. People do not like to hear NO, b/c I'm in the land of a**-kissing.
