Gene's post reminds me that I held onto my Class A Commercial Drivers
License endoresement for many years after I last drove a vehicle
requiring it. I let it go when I moved down to Illinois two years ago,
but it had been at least since 1997 that I really needed it.

Take that and an offlist response I received regarding CPR, and yeah I
could most likely carry out either task efficiently. I still use a
manual transmission, so no big learning curve there, and as for CPR...
well if the chips were down, I know I could get the job done right.

But the Cisco CCNA, I wouldn't even set up my own network in my house,
but yet I still have a piece of paper saying that I am qualified.
