Please tell me, if you can, something about the "x-use-null-cells"
argument for an HTML <table> tag.
I am interested in learning what effect, if any, the bit of code
"x-use-null-cells" has, as it appears in every table tag generated by
the RoboHelp editor. My experimentation and searching have been
fruitless so far.
---Background---
I ran into some compressed HTML issues with table formats. I've worked
out a set of things that occur when compressing an HTML file created in
the RoboHelp HTML WYSIWYG editor into a CHM file:
- Comments are removed
- Meta tags specific to RoboHelp are removed
- An embedded "hcp" style sheet is created with styles for any "style="
formatting.
- "style=" formatting is replaced with with "class=" styles.
I'm also a little curious about whether this behavior is specific to a
RoboHelp compressor, or is part of Microsoft's HTML Help Workshop
compiler.
