Hi,
At previous tech writing jobs we used Microsoft's Visual Source Safe
for doc control and tracking.

However, my current company is trying to get me to use a freeware
product called Subversion. It was written for tracking code and is,
even with the UI provided by Tortoise SVN, a horrible tool to use (the
very name should give you a clue!).

Does anyone know of any decent freeware out there? How I long for VSS
again but have no idea if this can be purchased from MS as a stand
alone product.

Thanks, Susan
