Kirk,

Take a look at http://www.planetpdf.com. Click on Free -> PDF Software.
You might find something there that will help you.

Subject: Excel to PDF-Is it possible?

Is there a way to convert a four-page Excel book to an attractive,
editable PDF without purchasing (free is OK) 3rd party software? I've
been banging my head against a brick wall with Acrobat 7 for a few hours
now; it is almost midnight, and I've only managed to produce a PDF file
that looks bad.

I imported the Excel file into Word as a Microsoft Excel Worksheet
Object; I converted the Excel file to a series of pictures in Word DOC
file that actually looks OK, but isn't editable. When I try to convert
the Excel book to Word, I get a nice file that outputs to only half a
page vertically in the PDF. Maybe my conversion settings are incorrect,
but I've looked at them numerous times to no avail.

Next, I tried to scan the picture with the OCR function. What resulted
was a PDF with huge expanses of empty space at the bottom of the pages.
I can click the cursor inside the text, but when I punch "enter" or the
space bar, the document jumps to another part of the page-nothing
happens with the text.

I Googled "Convert Word doc to PDF," and got nothing but a few pages of
software sales sites interspersed with scattered "Covert Office files to
PDF" for Acrobat, not a good sign.

I need this PDF for a meeting with the doctors, lawyers, and Indian
chiefs tonight. Does someone have any ideas?

There has to be a way to get to a nice PDF from here.

Kirk
