Re: IE Blocking Active Content
Hello, everyone!
In some situations, Internet Explorer (IE) blocks active content. <snip> *
I'm creating my help system in RoboHelp (using WebHelp). <snip again> I get
this message:
"To help protect your security, Internet Explorer has restricted this
file from showing active content that could access your computer. Click
here for options..."
-1948)
Hey Keith:
The message also does not appear if the WebHelp files are housed on a LAN,
either. They don't necessarily need to be placed on a Web server to get rid
of the message.
I develop on my hard drive, but set a path to generate WebHelp to a LAN
location each time, for two reasons:
1. I don't have to click that (stupid) message each time when I want to look
at my output.
2. My SMEs can see the progress I've made, and also provide feedback. The
LAN path stays the same each time.
Hope this helps.
Di
