I'm sorry to hear of so many unsatisfactory situations. Having worked as a
contractor since 1992, I've heard other horror stories, so I am not
surprised.

For myself, I have worked with two firms that have done well by me. Another
firm (nameless) was just awful. Both firms that kept me working steadily and
paid me on time without hassles are in the San Francisco Bay Area. If anyone
would like the names of those firms, please contact me directly and I will
provide specifics.
