Good explanation, Chris. It is good to look for better words sometimes.
I like to call that "beginner's mind" -- a term from one of my Buddhist
texts. :-)
It is very easy to pick a term or a name for something without really
thinking about the origins. "Idiot" was used many years ago to describe a
person with a very low IQ (although I don't remember the exact number) who
couldn't learn much.
Different people interpret words in different ways, which I understand. I
just try to be kind and think of how things sound to others.
No harm was meant by the term, I am sure.
