I live in the woods of Vermont (only full-time residents on a dead-end
dirt road). I get my exercise walking my dogs (they don't need leashes
so they do almost all of the walking) several times a day. In the late
afternoons, I usually get out the weed whacker and/or chainsaw and go to
town on the 20 acres of forest we have for an hour or so. We try to heat
by wood and while I buy several cords every year, I also cut, haul, and
split a few myself. it's darned good exercise. And for relaxation, we
have three gardens (formal perennial garden, 8-bed hillside perennial
garden), and 32x32 vegetable garden, and they always need tending.
