IMHO, the good of the team always comes first. If a new hire has the
potential to disrupt the cohesiveness of the whole, then I would be very
leery of hiring them, no matter what the underlying reason.
You know the team you have built. If it were me, and I believed that
taking this person on had the potential to change the chemistry for the
worse, I probably wouldn't do it. It's not worth the risk.
