It seems that the best way out might be to ship a $5 USB memory stick
with the product, increasing the cost by $5 if necessary. You can then
tell your user to copy the configuration file to the memory stick
provided, slide the write-protect tab, and keep in a safe place for
future reference. You know that will work since you provide the
servers, which all have USB ports. FWIW I suspect that $5 a pop will
be cheaper than having to support all those who complain that they
don't have a floppy drive/CD burner/spare USB drive!
