TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
As a user of Flare, and not of Feedback Server, I've found MadCap very
receptive and quick to respond. You're clogging many peoples' inboxes with
emails that don't affect most of them. Have you tried to contact MadCap
directly with your concerns, or simply chastised Sharon who's been nothing
but helpful, and isn't even an full-time employee of the company?
And if people are still using CHM files, which are what, over 10 years old
now, then I don't' suspect those are the kind of people who would use the
Feedback Server. The thread you just linked is with four people, hardly a
huge demand.
Caveat emptor applies to tech writers, too. Folks, be aware of what the
software you purchase does, before you implement it.
