The company where I used to work (Thank you recession) laid off all 3 tech
writers and kept some developers and QA. So developers now write doc for
their own work. Some of them are good writers, but how can you possibly
catch errors when you doc your own features. At least if they wrote about
each others' new software there would be some built-in sanity check. Sigh.
