On the other hand, the translators or the translation software should be able to handle the construction. That English does not use the terse and beautiful ablative absolute construction does not reflect badly upon its employment by Roman writers, nor does it, /mirabile visu,/ place any impediment onto the translation of Latin into English.
Personally I object to the construction "use to" because it is so easily confounded with the colloquial "used to" which is sometimes used to construct a variety of past tense, as I used to do. Er, I mean, formerly did.
