Hello, writers,

I'm working on a Word 2007 doc for a product with a hyphen in its name, that not surprisingly I've been using a non-breaking hyphen for. But, Word's spell check kept flagging it, and wouldn't let me add it to the custom dictionary or set it to Ignore All. So I went a googling, and found a hotfix: support.microsoft.com/kb/972563, and its corollary, support.microsoft.com/kb/970942.

I think whether you have this problem depends on may system things. I didn't have it with my Word 2007 installation on my old XP computer, but with the Word 2007 install on my new Windows 7 (64-bit) machine, I did.

So I offer this up in case anyone is experiencing a similar inconvenience.

-Monique
