I'm not sure what Acrobat X is, but if you are looking for an alternative, PDF Converter
is less expensive than Acrobat Pro and lets anyone with a license mark up a PDF right
on the local computer.

Subject: Acrobat X Commenting
Is anyone else pissed about Adobe removing most of the commenting ability
from acrobat x ? It's taken me a few days of half hearted searching to
figure this out. But, anyone can comment on any pdf with sticky notes and
highlighting.
To get the full commenting features, you have to sign up for an adobe
account and use the shared review feature... basically cloud sharing?
If so, that means that they want me to put sensitive corporate documents
on some cloud server somewhere, and everyone that I need a review from
needs to get an acrobat account, just so that the guy in the next cube
can review my doc with more than just sticky notes.
Someone please tell me that I'm wrong.
