That sounds like great advice from Sharon. I have a Nook Color and I'm
totally dazzled by its beautiful high-def color screen. I've read many
tablet reviews and I believe they've all said the Nook Color/Tablet (they
are extremely similar, but tablet is lighter-weight and has more memory)
has a better-quality color display than the Kindle and better screen
response, too.

I wouldn't give up this color screen for anything. Now if only I could
figure out how to get amazon products on my Nook (without going the root
route -- been there).

I had a grey scale Sony reader for a while and loved it. When it died, I
wanted color and so the Nook Color was my option at that time. (Full
disclosure - I used to work with the PM of the Nooks but that's not why I
bought one). I'm delighted with it.

If I were to buy a new ereader today, I might go with a tablet and then
install the Kindle and Nook readers on it. My son and DIL bought Kindle
Tablets and installed the Nook software to share books with me.
