It doesn't sound like you are delivering the type of context-sensitive Help that deals with map IDs. That is for context-sensitive help by topic. If you are trying to divide your Help by modules, the person who created your help should have created a different single source layout for each module and used conditional tags to instruct RoboHelp about which topics go into each module.

To make it work, all you should have to do is generate each of those layouts. In your SSL folder, you'll have a different set of Help for each module, which you will then deliver. The developers should have already set up their application to link to the correct help for the module.

And now for something completely different: I can't get context-sensitive help working. I have a Webhelp project where each HTML file is specific to a module in the software. When you click on the help button in a module, the Webhelp interface should open and show the help page for that particular module. The help that was on the server, created by a tech writer who's been gone for years, worked that way. But I can't get mine to work.

I'm trying to use map IDs. I've carefully read everything in the RH "help"
- which is about as useful as a chicken wire shovel. I've spent days crawling through the RH user forum, which has lots of posts about context-sensitivity problems, but none of them match my situation. I've created a map ID file. I've done everything the help says to do, but when the help is deployed on the server the context-sensitive feature doesn't work.

Some of the problem is, I can't understand half of what I see on the net.
This is the first time I've used RH in more than 10 years, and a lot of what people write about this problem, I don't understand. I've been on Peter Grainge's web site and I can't figure out what the bleep he's talking about. I need to know if there are any sources that can provide simple, baby-step instructions. If anyone has any pointers I would very much appreciate some help.
