I work in a technical publications group at Harris Corporation. In this
particular instance (document), there are some problems. The art is done
on a macintosh in MacDraw. The final art is saved as an eps file and
placed in a storage area on the network. The graphics are pasted into
interleaf with out any problem. The problem is that there is a variation
in the appearance of the art. On the macintosh, it is printed to a HP
Laserjet IIIsi. From Interleaf (on the VAX), it is printed to a Talaris
2090 Print Station. The lines on the art from the Talaris are very heavy.
The art that comes off this printer becomes very difficult to read. All of
the departments printers are serviced regularly and periodically have their
high-wear parts replaced.
