Why wait? That's been available for more than a year through a series of
macros/programs called Hypergen. I think the publisher was/is selling it
directly, but it can also be purchased from Frame.
I've only run it on Suns and RS/6000s -- I don't know if it's available on
other platforms.
Also, I've only used it with indexes and TOCs -- I don't know if it'll do
other lists.
