Virginia Krenn comments that thinking that sacrements and church
positions could be sold or given to lay people is mindboggling.
Seems to me that the RC church did a lot of that during what we
now call the Middle Ages and in the early Italian Renaissance.
People today are in such a rush to "stay connected" and to get
ahead in the organization that they seem to have lost the
perspective that allows one to see a spoof when recognize a spoof when they see
one.
