john rhenish is right - even in Britain we pronounce
"row" (an altercation) to rhyme with "cow" and "row"
(to paddle) to rhyme with "No"
other words spoken by Britons will be pronounced
acording to their regional accent [let me know if
you want a multi-media demonstration]
gee whiz! we're a bit off topic now, aren't we?
p.s. sorry about the postal misunderstanding, but
here in The Old Country we get two deliveries a day
and first class post arrives the next morning -
but email buffs still call it snail mail)
no signs of that one-word oxymoron yet - maybe it
can't really be done??
