The best source in Chicago may be the Society for Technical Communication
(STC) employment database. Call the Chicago STC office at (312) 630-0110 for
more information (unstaffed office, leave a message). Request a copy of the
January 1996 Byline (newsletter), which includes the database form. The
database is presently under construction, but should be ready to fly by the
end of January.
One note: If you are not a member of STC ($95 per yr), it costs $100 to be
included in the database. However, if you are planning to relocate to Chicago,
STC membership is definitely worth the bucks!
