I am looking for a technical writer to help create documentation for a
commercial Windows NT application the deals with Internet electronic mail,
Lotus cc:Mail, and Lotus Notes. We are willing to work with a small technical
writing firm as well.

The candidate for this contract must have significant technical writing
experience, and you should be able to show finished commercial software
manuals that you have both authored and designed for TCP/IP or network-related
software programs.

We need someone who has technical skills, in addition to writing skills. You
need to have fluency as an end-user or system administrator for the following
technologies:

- Windows NT, particularly with respect to setup and use of the TCP/IP and
Netware interfaces

- Internet and TCP/IP, in general, with emphasis on Internet electronic mail
standards and RFCs

- Lotus cc:Mail and Lotus Notes

You can work off-site, part-or-full-time, but your office must include at
minimum:

- A Novell/386 file server

- One, and preferably two, Windows NT clients or servers.

- An Internet connection

- Installations of Lotus cc:Mail and Lotus Notes

If interested, please contact Will Estes at U.S. Computer at westes -at- usc -dot- com,
or send your resume by FAX to 408-446-1013.
