In a message on Techwr-L, Steve Jong said:
"But Steve Lane, a product manager and talented cartoonist, had drawn some
humorous pen-and-ink cartoons illustrating the categories."

I worked with Steve at Wang in the early 80s, and I recall running across
you (SJong) somewhere along the line, too. It brought back some great
memories of working with a creative bunch of nuts - Steve Lane and Fred
Goodridge at Wang, Charlie Andres at Digital, and Bill Carlson at
Interactive Data (whose piece "Zen and the Art of Techical Writing" appeared
recently in the national STC newsletter). All of them were adept at
humorously - and effectively - conveying technical information. If done
well, it can be wonderful. But if done poorly, it can be a disaster.
