[problem statment snipped]

The problem statment is somewhat ambiguous, but it *sounds* like the
reports are still printed in the equivalent of DOS character appearance.

If the reports can be displayed on screen in a DOS window, here's how to
capture that output in Windows:

Open a DOS window with MSDOS Prompt and size it smaller than full-screen
(Alt-Enter does this).

Display the report on screen.

Click the Control Menu (top left corner of window), then click Edit.

Note: Click Font on the Control menu to adjust the size of the screen
characters.

Drag-select the screen text you want.

Press Enter (or Control-Menu, Edit) to capture the selection to the
clipboard.

Use Alt-Tab to return to your documenting application.

Click where you want the text, then Edit/Paste.

Regards,

Peter Gold
