I'm not going to restate everything, but I will say this: Taking
notes is useful if the contents of the notes will be otherwise
useful to you in doing your job. If it's not just say no (if you
can afford to do so and keep eating). You have to maintain a
line between being a team player and winding up doing all the
scudgy work that isn't technical writing.
