Web docs, hard disk or printed?

Subject: Web docs, hard disk or printed?

Web access for docs works just fine, provided that it's not
the only tool at your disposal. Webbed docs are great for
times when the power's on, you're at a modem-equipped
terminal, and you have a computer that can display the
information acceptably well. But if you've got the computer
anyway, why not ditch the Web part and simply use online
docs, updated as regularly as necessary on CD or
automatically when you hook up to your network (as Lotus
Notes does)? Last but not least, don't expect to completely
eliminate printed information in my lifetime.

Bottom line? Even if you emphasize one method, provide
fallbacks and backups for those who can't or won't use the
first method.
