Proper Netiquette

Subject: Proper Netiquette

Some weeks ago, there was a thread on this list about proper
netiquette. A recent posting has made me think of some netiquette that
I wish everyone on this list would follow. Is it just me or do others
find anonymous postings, postings which are neither signed nor include
a name in the address line, annoying? I can sort of understand the
reasons for wanting to maintain anonymity, but at the same time, this
is a professional list, not a chat room. I don't know how the rest of
you feel but I personally think that signed messages carry much more
weight on this list. And I personally don't want to respond to
messages when I have no idea who or to what organization I'm
responding to.

Does this make sense?
