Current Job Functions:
1. Revise the User's Reference Guide (software
manual)
2. Maintain existing/develop future hardware user
guides and inserts
3. Complete Corporate Style Guide and associated
templates
4. Produce hardware and software development
documentation (requirements, specifications, test plans, etc.)
5. Create Training Materials - External Users & TSEs
6. Edit company newsletter and assist with
Marketing Communications materials
7. Assist with development of Intranet
8. Assist Document Control in developing control
standards
9. Assist with ISO9000
documentation/compliance/Quality Manual
Requirements:
1. Excellent command of the written word: grammar,
editing, and proofreading skills.
2. Proficiency in instructional design techniques
(needs analysis, design, development, facilitation and evaluation).
3. Experienced in technical training/technical
writing techniques for software and hardware end-users of varying levels
of computer literacy.
4. Experience working with technical experts
(subject matter experts) and technical documentation: able to interview
SMEs for content; able to comprehend engineering documents, schematics,
technical renderings; able to translate engineering"ese" into
non-technical common language.
5. Ability to present complex information to
non-technical learners (facilitation and presentation skills).
6. Ability to perform product demonstrations for
varying levels of spectators.
7. Skilled in project and time management - able to
meet deadlines and schedule multiple projects.
8. Skilled in customer relations.
