I have written some of the scientific notes and my Ph.D thesis in a
software called TEX. It is quiet popular in the scientific circles,
infact most of the journals now accept TEX formatted files.
TEX has a *book format*. Will that be helpful for you ?
Or do you know about TEX, but want to use something else.
