TechWriter's Dream WP or DTP software?

This isn't debate generator but if you *could choose* a full-
featured Word Processor and Desktop Publishing Program
based solely on its features, ease of edits, and usability/production
...
*not* based on industry standards or what is generally considered
the program you *should* use what would it be?

I know there are some Quark folks and Framemaker folks
out there. What are these programs strengths?

(In other words let's not bash someone else's choice but talk
pros of our *dream* programs for tech. writing production.)

I know that I must train folks on Word because its prevailance
on the market but when I am allowed to *choose* I love WordPerfect.
Why? You can see the full-coding underneath the WYSIWYG and
edit much easier, therefore boosting my production of
truely professional looking documents in a shorter amount
of time.

So my weapon of choice would be WordPerfect - Corel Suite 8.

What initiated this question was a send on another list...

"New site for WordPerfect Windows users. It is called "WordPerfect
Universe" at http://www.wpwin.com. It is *privately* run by Gordon
McComb
and Elden Nelson. It's worth a visit. Great resources and great
people."
