Hi Tom,

I normally use punctuation when the caption is a complete sentence.

Ex: Figure 4 - 1. The XXX screen appears.

However, if it is just a label, then I don't use punctuation.

Ex: Figure 4 - 1. XXX Screen

Of course, you should use consistency in your captions, all sentences or
all titles.

BTW, never tell the user to do something within the caption (or a note).

Bad Ex: Figure 4 - 1. Press ENTER to display XXX screen.
