Subject:Re: Is it Barcode or bar code From:Willa MacAllen <macallen -at- TIAC -dot- NET> Date:Wed, 3 Sep 1997 13:46:14 -0700
An interesting question...
It's not listed in my copy of The American Heritage Dictionary of the
English Language. Perhaps other dictionaries have a different variation
on this word?
Never thought of this particular issue even when I recently applied for a
bar coding project in Boston. The job was offered to me, btw, but I
didn't accept it. One would feel a sense of satisfaction when a large
bar coding project is finished, as this would have been, but bar coding
is boring in midstream, which ever way the word is spelled! <g>
