Each auto manufacturer uses different software.  I believe the Ford application you're interested in is a combination of homegrown applications tied in with proprietary versions of InfoAccess' Guide product.  Ford has both OS/2 (Service Bay Diagnostic System -TM) and Windows 95 platforms (Service Bay Technical System TM) supported in their US and Canada service departments.  I'm less sure of the platforms supported in Europe.
