These are my opinions.

There isn't that much difference between perm and contracting.

1) If you think or feel something is wrong for you, it is wrong. It's
called ethics.
2) If you are exposed to something you think is neat, cool, or otherwise
fun, then it is, and consider it.
3) If you don't want to do something, then don't.
4) Always look for opportunities to learn, grow, or otherwise make
yourself more valuable. It's called job security.
5) Get the highest rate you can.
6) Don't take crap from those you don't have to, and smile when you do
from those that you do have to.

That does it from me.

My opinions are mine, and neither you nor my company can take credit for
them.
"One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good
poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few
reasonable words.", Goethe
"Say all you have to say in the fewest possible words, or your reader
will be sure to skip them; and in the plainest possible words or he will
certainly misunderstand them.", John Ruskin
"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish,
and he will sit in a boat and smoke cigars all day."
